I’d originally intended to post this on my blog at the same time as I uploaded the mix from Adelaide (outlined below), but having made a start, I found it difficult to fully apply myself, continually catching myself procrastinating, so I put the mix up on its own a few weeks ago, and gave myself until the end of the month to finish this. It’s not just the writing, as I’ve since discovered has also been the case with numerous others at this time I’ve found it difficult to apply myself to anything connected with my work – my only blog posts in tribute to recently departed black music icons Manu Dibango, Bill Withers and Hamilton Bohannon. Glastonbury Mixes 2019
All 4 of my mixes from this year’s Glastonbury Festival have now been uploaded to SoundCloud. It was great to be back after a 4-year absence, and I made up for lost time playing a quartet of gigs in the space of 26 hours, 3 on the Saturday and 1 on the Sunday.
Summer Festival Schedule – Including Glastonbury Return
Another busy summer approaches, dominated, as ever, by a number of festival appearances, listed below, mainly in the UK, but also in Ireland (The Beatyard) and Romania (Electric Castle). In addition, I’ll be heading over to Ibiza a couple of times, for Glitterbox @ Hi on July 14th and La Discotheque @ Ibiza Rocks Hotel on September 9th.
Australia Tour Dates – Nov 2018
Great to be finally able to announce the full list of dates for my Australian tour in November:
The Chic Organization – 1977-79 Selection Reworked
Last year, Isaac Ferry, who runs Gouranga, which has hosted some of my live mixes on SoundCloud, asked if I’d be up for doing something more bespoke, suggesting I focus in on Chic, given both their history and more recent renaissance as one of the must-see live feelgood experiences of the festival calendar.
Credit To The Edit @ Sound City
My latest Credit To The Edit compilation, volume 3 in the series, is issued next month – I’ll do a full post about the album and its contents once available, but, in the meantime, wanted to draw attention to the first in a number of Credit To The Edit parties I’ll be hosting, both in the UK and overseas, throughout 2018.
Return To Legend
It’s a special night tonight, when we look back to one of Manchester’s great clubs, Legend, which was my Wednesday night home circa 1981-84. I’ve previously written about my much-treasured time there in a blog piece called ‘Legend – Manchester’s Other Club’:

2ManyDJs – Guardians Of The Incomprehensible Maze
This Saturday I’m back on my home patch at The Underground in Liverpool for a Freeze event playing alongside Belgian brothers Steven and David Dewaele, aka 2ManyDJs, who also make up two thirds of the band Soulwax. All the info here:

Remember Love
We’re trying something a little bit different in Liverpool next Sunday (August 6th) with an all-day get together at District & YARD (the venue’s recently opened outdoor area), under the banner of ‘Remember Love’ – a social gathering of friends, family, fellow fools and the faithful on a chilled-out summer Sunday in the Baltic Triangle.
LightNight In The Cathedral
This Friday (May 19th) I’m playing a pretty extraordinary gig in Liverpool within one of the city’s most iconic buildings, the Anglican Cathedral. It’s a free event, part of the LightNight celebrations throughout the city, and I’ll be appearing between 9pm-11pm.
