This was originally meant as my small contribution to last April’s Cerne to CERN continental Happening, where the Liverpool Arts Lab hooked up with the Cosmic Trigger crew for a magic bus ride into the beyond (in this case Damanhur in Italy, before crossing the Swiss border on route to Geneva to head to the site of the CERN collider).

Trevor Jackson Selects Island
Trevor Jackson is something of a cultural maven whose thirty-plus years in the more underground corridors of the music industry has seen him fulfil a number of catalytic roles – starting off as a graphic designer at Champion Records in the late-‘80s, responsible for the S-Express ‘Theme From S-Express’ and Raze ‘Break 4 Love’ sleeves, amongst many other subsequently. Later a recording artist in his own right (Playgroup), a record company owner (Output) and, of course, a DJ, he continues to do his thing in his own inimitable way.
Essential Mix 10th Anniversary

I was at baggage claim in San Francisco airport in November 2008, just about to embark on my first visit to the city, when I received a call from my agent, Matt Johnson, telling me that Huw Owen from the production company Something Else had been in touch requesting an Essential Mix from me for Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show. December 13th had originally been suggested as the date of broadcast, but in the end we settled on January 17th, with delivery requested 5 days earlier on the 12th.
Mambo Mix Sunday
I’ve started a weekly show, ‘Greg Wilson Mix Sunday’, on Ibiza’s Mambo Radio, airing every Sunday afternoon between 1pm and 3pm. The show features either one or two mixes from my archives.
LightNight In The Cathedral
This Friday (May 19th) I’m playing a pretty extraordinary gig in Liverpool within one of the city’s most iconic buildings, the Anglican Cathedral. It’s a free event, part of the LightNight celebrations throughout the city, and I’ll be appearing between 9pm-11pm.
1967 – 6 Hour Selection 50 Years On
I wanted to do something to mark the 50th anniversary of 1967 – a truly magical, myth-laden, musical year when so much changed, separating old from new and leading to a seismic cultural shift, especially via the recording industry – artists becoming increasingly ambitious, with pop music no longer regarded as throwaway fodder for the kids, but the great artistic statement of the age.

40th Anniversary Weekend Recorded
The anniversary weekend in Liverpool went off wonderfully, both at the celebratory Saturday night gathering in The Garage and a somewhat more sedate talk session on the Sunday evening at Jacaranda Records.
SoundCloud Live Top 25
Amidst everything that’s been going on during recent months I completely failed to notice the passing of a personal SoundCloud milestone, the uploaded content on my page having now surpassed 3 million plays in the 5 years since I opened my account.
Blind Arcade Meets Super Weird Substance In The Morphogenetic Field
During the last few months I’ve been particularly swamped, working hard on a project that I can happily say has now reached fruition as ‘Blind Arcade Meets Super Weird Substance In The Morphogenetic Field’ – a mixtape featuring 19 tracks, mainly recordings by Blind Arcade. It’s just been made public on SoundCloud, having been shared privately with friends and supporters over the weekend, and we’ve been so happy to see how quickly it’s being embraced in these past 24 hours. It’s available here as a free download:
