On January 20th, I did something I’ve never done previously. I stood before an audience and, for close on an hour, talked about my musical journey – from when I was a child in New Brighton, right up to what I’m doing nowadays. I’ve been in similar situations before, where I was being interviewed, or I was interviewing someone else, but I’ve never stood alone and spoken for so long.
It was a strange, but ultimately satisfying experience. The audience was really warm and attentive, and the feedback afterwards was pretty overwhelming. The whole thing was filmed and is now available to view online:

It’s a monthly event, with previous guests including Martyn Ware of Heaven 17, and Ben Kelly, the designer of The Haçienda. Their next event is on February 17th when business strategist, Ralph Blundell, is the speaker.

Fortunately I had the time to watch this in one sitting and found so many points that struck a chord. Really enjoyed this and the passion that you have for music shines through.
A very interesting story Greg, sounds like it was a really great opportunity for you and the audience.
It is perfect time to make a few plans for the longer term and it is time to be happy. I’ve learn this post and if I may just I wish to recommend you some interesting issues or advice. Perhaps you could write next articles relating to this article. I wish to learn more things about it!
