South Bank Vintage

Having picked up the Best New Festival award for 2010, Vintage moves from Goodwood to the South Bank in London this year (the weekend of July 29/30/31). Once again I’ll be working with Jack Hemingway on The Warehouse arena, which was the subject of a jubilant blog following the inaugural event back in August:

Inspired by 1951’s Festival Of Britain, it’s somewhat fitting that Vintage is coming to the South Bank in celebration of its 60th anniversary. Given that it wasn’t possible to stage the festival at Goodwood again, this is a fantastic outcome, providing the opportunity to bring the event right into the heart of the capital for a unique one-off (it’ll return to a greener, more orthodox festival setting in 2012).

There’s also a very strong possibility that we’ll be curating an additional area. Given the popularity of The Warehouse last year it’s clear that there’s going to be a huge demand this time around, so a second space for the party people is something we feel is vital. I’ll keep you posted on developments.

In the meantime, you can find out more about the overall event at the Vintage website:
