How Do You Listen To Music?

I did an interview last July with James Thirkettle for a documentary project he’s working on called ‘How Do You Listen To Music?’ He’s just uploaded it to YouTube, where he describes it as follows:

As a precursor to the documentary, here’s an extended interview with Greg Wilson. In it Greg discusses digital listening habits, his own musical experiences and much more.

The catalyst for this interview was the Living To Music series, which has been a mainstay of the blog for over 2 ½ years now, so I thought it only right to share direct from here:

    Hi Greg,

A friend of mine foused on this very subject matter for her Phd recently with a particular focus on how listening experiences can help the listener access trance states…

Not sure if it’ll be up your street, but here’s a link to the book – http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=G2VFeaFresYC&printsec=frontcover#v=onepage&q&f=false

I appeared as ‘Gary’ and there are a number of my listening experiences documented.

Btw, thanks for your link – I’ll be sure to check it out!

    Spence 🙂
